The Bachelor of water engineering provides students with solid background in surface water hydrology, groundwater hydrology, statistic, Weather and Climate, hydraulic, water delivery and distribution systems, irrigation systems and methods of water resources. It also introduces students to the fundamentals and applications of the water resources optimization and management software.

The main goals of Master of Science program are to train students for professional careers enabling them to manage research programs in the area of water structure, irrigation and drainage and water resources. There are three fields of study in Master of Science program including:

A) Water structure

Students in the major are trained for improving new varieties of water structure. The water structures specializes in the study and identification of water delivery and distribution networks and related structures and their management. Our department has good facilities of laboratory and software to fulfill the goals of this level.

B) Irrigation and drainage

The field of irrigation and drainage has been specially set up in order to preserve and properly exploit water resources. In fact, the purpose of this field is to use water in agriculture. To achieve this goal, a water engineer must have comprehensive information in fields such as meteorology, soil science, botany, how plant roots breathe and how to remove excess water from the root zone, as well as how to extract water and how to transport it to places of consumption

C) Water resources

The trend of water resources management has been developed in order to train specialists in the fields of knowledge of water resources, control, improvement and transfer of water and quality of water resources. This field is used in the departments of hydrology and management and planning of water resources. Works such as discovering new water resources, modeling surface and underground water resources and optimizing consumption will be in the scope of work of water resources engineers.

The main goals of Ph.D program are to train students for professional careers enabling them to manage research programs in the area irrigation and drainage and water resources
